H.E THE AMBASSADOR ATTENDS TOKYO FUKUNO-KAI "SEMPUKU" GATHERING
H.E. the Ambassador exchanging gifts with Mr. Watanabe, President of Fukuno-kai

H.E. Ambassador Benson H. O. Ogutu, addressing members of Fukuno-kai at Meiji Kinenkan.
In his address, the Ambassador welcomed the ideals of the organization, in particular as pertains to promotion of closer people-to-people relations and better international understanding.
"Sempuku" is the leading sake brand produced by Sempuku Brewery based in Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture. It was founded in 1886 (and subsequently established in 1925). The President is Mr. Kiyotsugu Miyake.
As part of his own private endeavours, Mr. Kiyotsugu Miyake established NPO Garissa in 1999. Its main activities in Kenya are geared towards medical assistance, environment conservation and access to education for the needy and underprivileged in Garissa, Kenya.
