IFEC ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION ON AFRICA'S ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

On 7th July 2016, H.E Amb. S. K Maina joined other dignitaries in a Round Table Discussion, on Africa. The event was organized by the International Friendship Exchange Council (IFEC) and hosted by the Council's President; Mr. Ken Matsuzawa, as part of the series events towards TICAD VI Summit scheduled to be held in Nairobi Kenya between 27th – 28th August, 2016. The discussion focused on Africa's current economic development; future Prospects; Challenges, and, Japan's role in Africa's developmental aspirations.
Other speakers for the forum included Amb. Norio Maruyama, Director General- Africa Bureau –Japanese Foreign Ministry(Moderator); Mr. Hiroshi Kato, Vice President Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA); Mr. Mamoru Sekiyama, Chairman Africa-Japan relations Committee-Japan Association of Corporate Executives (Keizai Doyukai) Committee-Keidanren.
The Friendship Exchange Council is a non-profit organization established in 1983 with the objective of deepening international understanding and friendship. The organization promotes international friendship and business exchanges with foreign countries.
