AMB (DR) AMINA MOHAMED EGH, CAV. VISITS MAPUTO, MOZAMBIQUE TO ATTEND THE TICAD MINISTERIAL MEETING FROM 24TH -26TH AUGUST 2017
Amb (Dr) Amina Mohamed EGH, CAV, Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Kenya presents a gift to Hon. Taro Kono, Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Japan
The TICAD Ministerial follow up meeting was held in Maputo, Mozambique from 24th -26th August, 2017. Kenya’s delegation was led by Amb. (Dr.) Amina Mohamed EGH, CAV. The meeting reviewed the implementation of the three Pillars of the TICAD VI Nairobi Implementation Plan.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Amb. Amina Mohamed held bilateral talks with Hon. Taro Kono, the Japan’s new Foreign Minister. The Ministers reaffirmed their Countries’ resolve and commitment to the TICAD Process. They further expressed satisfaction at the positive elevated ties between Kenya and Japan, more so following the successful State visit of Prime Minster Shinzo Abe to Kenya in August 2016.
