The Embassy participated in Tourism EXPO Japan 2018 which was held from 20th to 23rd September, 2018 at the Tokyo Big Sight. Tourism EXPO Japan is the largest annual travel and tourism exhibition in Japan. The event gathers key players from travel and tourism industry as well as from related fields to stimulate demand for overseas and local travel.

The EXPO was organized by Japan Travel and Tourism Association (JTTA), Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA) and Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO). It had new buyers, more time for business and extended period for exhibition compared to the previous events. According to the preliminary report of 25th September, 2018 the EXPO attracted 207,000 visitors, 136 countries/regions and 1,441 companies/organizations.
