H.E. Amb. Tabu Irina participated virtually in a hybrid seminar hosted by the United Nations Industrialization Developmental Organization (UNIDO) in Vienna and issued a statement highlighting the role multilateral cooperation has on facilitating the transfer of technology to mitigate the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Seminar titled “UNIDO – Japan Cooperation: Mitigating the Impacts of Covid-19 through Technology Transfer from Japan” showcased the successful transfer of technologies to 10 countries with 3 key projects successfully implemented in Kenya through the Sustainable Technology Promotion Platform (STePP).
The Ambassador appreciated the role that UNIDO’s Investment and Technology Promotion Office (ITPO) played in facilitating the transfer of technology and underscored the importance of mutual cooperation in strengthening global efforts to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.
