Embassy hosts the the Kenya Tea Seminar -2013

Opening of the JTA Kenya Tea Seminar by Mr. Paul K. Ndung'u.

The Embassy in collaboration with the Japan Tea Association (JTA) has just held the 54th Tea Seminar. The JTA-Kenya Embassy's Tea Seminar was held in the Mission's premises on the 9th March2013. The Tea seminar is considered one of the important collaborative activities between our two institutions and it brings together various JTA members to explore various matters relating to Kenyan tea.
During the opening of the event, the Embassy's Minister Counsellor Mr. Paul K. Ndung'u gave the opening remarks on behalf of His Excellency the Ambassador. He thanked the JTA for their cooperation and support and called on both sides to work towards strengthening of the Japan/ Kenya partnership in the area tea industry.

42 Japanese tea lovers participated in the seminar and learnt features of Kenyan tea and how to serve delicious tea.

Mr. Michio Hiraiwa, Ms. Masayo Hiraiwa and Ms. Nelly Wanjala introduce a Kenyan song to seminar participants.

Ms. Norika Osuga demonstrates the art of preparing and serving the Kenyan tea.
