NOTICE OF INTERNATIONAL OPEN TENDER
TENDER NO.KTB/RFP/001/2013-2014: REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR THE PROVISION OF MARKET DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATION SERVICES (MDRS)

Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) is a body corporate established as a State Corporation under the State Corporations Act (Cap 466 of the Laws of Kenya). KTB is charged with the statutory mandate of promoting and marketing Kenya as a preferred tourist destination locally, regionally and internationally as well as be an advisory body to the industry on market needs and trends in the source markets.
In order for KTB to deliver its mandate of effectively and efficiently marketing and promoting Kenya internationally; we wish to competitively appoint Destination Marketing Representatives (MDRs) in the source markets with whom to work with. These Marketing Development Representatives will work with KTB to penetrate, develop, and grow the market by utilizing their skills and market expertise. They are an added resource to enable KTB optimize its marketing investments for higher value outcomes.
KTB in enhancing its reach proposes to appoint market development representatives in each of the following countries;

Separate applications are to be submitted for being considered for appointment as MDR for each country as above in sealed envelopes clearly marked "application for MDR services for…………(name of country)

For clarity, Bidders who download the document from our website MUST pay the tender fees of Usd 60 and attach evidence of payment to the technical proposal.
Bidders should Submit original and copy of the TECHNICAL PROPOSAL in sealed envelopes indicating the Tender Number and clearly marked TECHNICAL PROPOSAL and the original and copies of FINANCIAL PROPOSAL clearly marked FINANCIAL PROPOSAL and a warning DO NOT OPEN WITH THE TECHNICAL PROPOSAL. Both envelopes shall be placed into an outer envelope and sealed. This outer envelope shall clearly be marked DO NOT OPEN EXCEPT IN THE PRESENCE OF THE OPENING COMMITTEE and addressed to:

Proposals received on email or fax will not be accepted.
The Proposal documents shall be received on or before Tuesday 17th September, 2013 at 1200hours East African time and deposited in the tender box located on 7th Floor Kenya Re Towers, off Ragati Road.
Opening of the tenders will take place immediately thereafter in the Boardroom on 8th Floor in the presence of bidders who wish to attend.

All bids must be accompanied by a Bid security of USD 1,500 in cash or bank transfer to bank account above or bankers cheque.
Evidence of payment of bid/tender security must be attached to the technical proposal
