AMBASSADOR ATTENDS 157th TOKYO FUKUNO-KAI ASSEMBLY

Amb. Benson Ogutu, Kenya Embassy and Amb. Gabriel Dusava, Papua New Guinea with Mr. Toyotaka Watanabe, Chairman of Fukuno-kai.

H.E. Amb. Ogutu, together with other diplomats, joined the 157th Tokyo Fukono-kai Assembly held on 19th September 2013. Fukuno-kai is an organization of lovers of "Sempuku" sake established in 1959 and has now more than 500 members. Fukuno-kai holds its meetings three (3) times a year.

This year's assembly, which was the 157th since the formation of the group added a momentous perspective to the celebration in view of the recent selection of Tokyo recent to host 2020 Olympics. More than 150 members and guests attended the occasion.

One of the leading Sake Breweries in Japan, "Sempuku" based in Hiroshima, was the main sponsor of the event. To Kenya "Sempuku", is of special significance as demonstrated by its several corporate social responsibilities in the health sector in the country.
