56TH JAPAN TEA ASSOCIATION SEMINAR HELD AT THE EMBASSY

Demonstration of Kenya Tea

The Embassy in collaboration with the Japan Tea Association (JTA) held the 56th Seminar at the Embassy's premises on the 28th January 2014. The seminar, attended by thirty five participants including Mr. Hiraiwa – Kenya' tourism goodwill Ambassador, was graced by Mr. Mathew Kaikai, First Secretary at Kenya Embassy.

In his remarks, the First Secretary thanked the Japan Tea Association for their sustained efforts in introducing the taste of Kenya's high quality Tea to the Japanese society. He underscored certain advantages of Kenya tea that could not be replicated elsewhere. These included 12 hours sunlight and adequate rains throughout the year, making the supply of Kenya tea consistent in both quantity and quality.
