Japanese Chief of Protocol, Amb. Jun Yamazaki receives Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Kenya to Japan, Amb. Solomon Karanja Maina

On 12th November, 2014, the Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Kenya to Japan, Amb. Solomon Karanja Maina presented copies of his Credentials to the Chief of Protocol, of the Government of Japan, Amb. Jun Yamazaki.

Amb. S. K. Maina arrived in Japan on 10th November, 2014 following his appointment by His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta on 14th August, 2014. Prior to his new post, Amb. Maina served as the Chief of Protocol of the Republic of Kenya. Ambassador Maina brings in a wealth of experience from over 27 years of public service both at national and international levels particularly in the multilateral sector.

The Ambassador is keen on deepening further Kenya's bilateral relations and strategic partnerships between Japan and Kenya through the TICAD Framework and other diplomatic channels.

Amb. Maina is an alumni of both Ohio University, Athens USA, and Oxford University, UK.
