OFFICIAL VISIT TO JAPAN BY THE POLITICAL AND DIPLOMATIC SECRETARY AMB. BENSON OGUTU

The Political and Diplomatic Secretary, Ambassador Benson Ogutu arrived in Tokyo on Wednesday 27th May 2015 for policy consultations with various stakeholders. As part of his visit, Amb.Ogutu held a wide range of consultations with the Director General in the African Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Amb.Ogutu also had fruitful engagements with the Chair of the Africa Committee of the Association of Business Executives KEIDANREN as well as Chairman, Committee on Africa-Japan Relations of KEIZAI DOYUKAI regarding their priorities under TICAD.

Ambassador Ogutu ended his day by officiating as a Guest of Honour during the launch of a new Kenyans in Japan (KIJA) Website by the Chair of the Kenyan Diaspora in Japan, Dr. Emmanuel Mutisya as well as the inauguration of the Afro-East Investors’ Company. While the KIJA Association is up-scaling its activities by unveiling a state of the art website, their inauguration of the Afro-East Investors’ Company has opened up opportunities for scores of young professionals in Japan to invest in Kenya by pulling their savings together to invest in bigger ventures back home.
