KENYA TRAVEL TRADE SEMINAR

H.E. Ambassador S.K. Maina gives his remarks during the seminar

The Kenya Tourism Board in liaison with Kenya Embassy in Japan held Travel Trade Seminar for Travel Agents/ Tour Operators on 27th September 2016 at the Kenya Embassy, Tokyo. The Seminar was held on the background of realization that Japan is one of the key source markets for Kenya and ranks 3rd in tourist arrivals from Asia. The Japanese market also exhibits high potential of growth given its high outbound tourist numbers.

The Tour Operators/Travel Agents play a crucial role in the distribution of Kenya's tourism products and they are the key touch point in the consumer buyer journey. The objective of the seminar was to equip them with information about the destination, and refresh their knowledge on Kenya's tourism products so that they can start or continue to sell Kenya.
