KENYA EMBASSY PARTICIPATES IN TOURISM EXPO JAPAN 2017

H.E. Mr. S. K. Maina, MBS and Ms. Njihia are holding certificate of Commendation presented by Tourism EXPO Japan Organizing Committee at the Kenya Embassy Pavilion

The Embassy participated in JATA Tourism EXPO Japan 2017 which was held from 21st to 24th September, 2017 at Tokyo Big Sight. JATA Tourism EXPO is the largest Japanese annual travel and tourism exhibition that is globally recognized as an established comprehensive tourism event with wide consumer outreach. The travel industry in Japan is growing and JATA aims at establishing the country as a major tourism-oriented nation committed to realizing the trinity objectives of outbound, domestic and inbound travel.

The EXPO provided a platform for networking with the travel and tour professionals as well as direct interaction with general public to promote Kenyan destination. The visitors were introduced to Kenyan renowned products like coffee, tea, nuts, flowers, and attire locally available in Japan.

The Embassy together with Kenya Tourism Board was awarded Certificate of Commendation in the third Japan Tourism Awards, field of International Travel for outstanding achievements through the initiatives of Tourism Promotion of Kenya designed to draw more Japanese tourists. The award is a clear testimony of concerted efforts employed to promote the destination, Magical Kenya.
