EMBASSY PARTICIPATES IN AFRICAN SEMINAR & CULTURAL PERFORMANCE IN SENDAI ON 17TH SEPTEMBER 2017

The Embassy participated in African Seminar and Cultural Performance organized by African Association of Miyagi (AFAM) on 17th September, 2017 at Sendai International Center. AFAM is a voluntary non-governmental organization with more than 80% membership of African students undertaking post-graduate studies at various universities in the Tohoku region of Japan. The event was sponsored by JICA and Miyagi Consumers Co-operative Society in Sendai, and supported by Tohoku University, Sendai City and MIA.

The objective of the event was to showcase African values and tradition to the Japanese people. The Embassy exhibited Kenyan culture, products and shared information on Kenyan tourism during the occasion. The event presented a good platform for the Embassy to create awareness about Kenya in the Tohoku region.
