JAMHURI DAY CELEBRATIONS IN TOKYO, JAPAN

H.E. Mr. S.K. Maina, MBS hosted the 55th Anniversary Celebration of Kenya’s Independence on 12th Dec. 2018 at the Marriott Hotel. Members of Staff and Kenyans in Japan welcomed the over 500 invited guests. The Guest of Honour was Hon. Masahisa Sato, State Minister for Foreign Affairs who had led Japan’s high powered delegation to the First Global Sustainable Blue Economy Conference held in Nairobi from 26 - 28th November, 2018. The Toast to the Celebration was delivered by Dr. Nobuhiro Endo, Chairman of NEC. The occasion was attended by members of the Diplomatic Corps and leaders of Industries such as Mr. Jun Karube, Chairman of Toyota Tsusho and the Honorary Consul for Kenya in Nagoya, Mr. Nobuhide Hayashi, Chairman of Mizuho Bank, Mr. Kyoji Takezawa, President of Toyo Construction among others.
