H.E. THE AMBASSADOR MEETING WITH DR. MASAFUMI MORI, SPECIAL ADVISOR TO H.E. THE PRIME MINISTER

H.E. Amb. Tabu Irina, MBS, hosted a delegation of senior officials led by Dr. Masafumi Mori, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister, to a meeting at the Kenya Embassy Chancery on Monday 28th November 2022.

The meeting served as a follow up of the bilateral discussions held during the TICAD 8 Summit and accorded the two sides an opportunity to exchanged views on the status of key bilateral projects such as the Mombasa Port Project Phase II, Dongo Kundu Special Economic Zone, Olkaria Geothermal power generation projects among others.

Dr. Masafumi Mori, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister was accompanied by senior government officials from the Cabinet Office Secretariat, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) and the Ministry of the Environment (MOE).

On her part, the Ambassador conveyed the appreciation of the Government of Kenya for the continued support extended by the Government of Japan towards the implementation of bilateral cooperation projects that are oriented towards the attainment of the Kenya Vision 2030 national development plan.
