AMBASSADOR DESIGNATE MOI LEMOSHIRA VISITS TERUMO MEDICAL PRANEX

On 2nd October, 2024, Amb. Moi Lemoshira – Ambassador Designate of Kenya to Japan visited Terumo Medical Pranex located in Kanagawa Prefecture for a tour of the medical device company. Amb. Lemoshira was received by Mr. Yasuhiro Ikoma, Chief Commercial Officer of Cardiac & Vascular Company and Mr Minoru Ueno, General Manager of Terumo Medical Pranex. During the visit, the Ambassador Designate also met with ten Kenyan cardiologists currently undergoing training at the Terumo facility under the National Center of Global Health and Medicine projects of the Ministry of Health Japan. The training on the use of new and emerging technologies in health care provision to deliver responsive care, with minimum invasion and reduced recovery time will enhance the professional capacity of the Kenyan doctors and greatly benefit the patients.

Amb. Lemoshira expressed appreciation to Terumo for implementing the project that aims to share Japanese knowledge, experience and technology to meet the needs of partner countries including Kenya. The Embassy will follow-up with Terumo Pranex for the training to be regularized and further engage with relevant Japanese Government authorities for possible expansion in other fields.
