THE EMBASSY HOSTS 77th KENYA TEA SEMINAR

Japan Tea Association in collaboration with the Embassy held the 77th Kenya Tea Seminar at the Embassy on 3rd October 2024. Amb. Moi Lemoshira, Ambassador-Designate/Head of Mission gave a welcome speech to 25 guests who participated in the seminar. The seminar was also graced by Ms. Masayo Hiraiwa, Kenya Tourism Goodwill Ambassador who introduced Kenyan culture and Kiswahili to the guests, and Ms. Hisako Tomizuka, Kenya-Japan Friendship on Trade Co., Ltd. who presented the highest quality of Kenya teas cultivated and harvested by small-scale farmers in Githongo region, Meru County. The Embassy will continue to collaborate with Japanese stakeholders to promote Kenya’s products so as to increase and diversify bilateral trade. In attendance were Amb. Arthur Andambi, Deputy Head of Mission and Ms. Naoko Yagi, Trade Assistant.
