On Monday 2nd February, 2026 Ambassador Arthur A. Andambi, Deputy Head of Mission/Head of Chancery visited the Midorigaoka Elementary School in Tokyo where he delivered a lecture on Kenya.

The lecture covered various areas such as culture, language, politics, education system etc. He was accompanied by Jennifer Njuguna (First Counsellor) and Kanako Sugai (Tourism Assistant). This is in line with our cultural diplomacy pillar.

The school was designated as a partner school of the Embassy under the Host Town Agreement with the City of Meguro during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Embassy and the school have maintained close cooperation since 2017, fostering a long-standing and friendly relationship.
