The Embassy was pleased to receive Ambassador SHIMMI Jun, Commissioner of the International Horticultural EXPO 2027, Yokohama Japan, who paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Moi Lemoshira on Monday, 14th September, 2026.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the upcoming International Horticultural EXPO 2027 in Yokohama (GREENEXPO2027). The Ambassadors concurred that the Expo presents an opportunity for showcasing Kenya’s rich horticultural sector and its commitment to sustainable development. Amb Lemoshira noted that participation will contribute to ongoing efforts to promote Kenya's agricultural exports which will further strengthen bilateral cooperation. He said that Kenya will hold various activation events during the Kenya Week in May, 2027 including promotion of MagicalKenya and Kenyan flowers.

The Embassy looks forward to continued collaboration with the EXPO2027 organizers for the realization of a high-impact participation by Kenya and a successful global event.
