Mr. Koichi Miki, the incoming Managing Director of Sojitz East Africa, based in Nairobi, called on Ambasador Moi Lemoshira on Thursday, 24th September 2026 . Ambassador Lemoshira thanked Mr. Miki for the long partnership that Sojitz continues to have with Kenya through investments in several sectors.

Ambassador Lemoshira also congratulated Mr. Miki and expressed the support of the Embassy for the efforts of the company to grow its businesses in Kenya.

Sojitz is one of the increasing number of Japanese companies in Kenya. Japanese companies in Kenya have more than doubled over the last decade to 135, which is the second largest number in Africa.

Mr. Miki briefed Ambassador Lemoshira on Sojitz’s strategic intent to expand investments in Kenya, including the expansion of its Nala Noodles and new areas that will enable the transfer of technology to Kenya.
