KENYA EMBASSY PARTICIPATES NOVASTAR WORKSHOP AND NETWORKING SEMINAR

On 28th November 2024, Kenya Embassy participated a Novastar Workshop and Networking Seminar on Building the Japan-Africa/ Global South Innovation Corridor held at Mitsubishi Corporation office in Tokyo.

The workshop provided the insightful information by sharing Venture Capital experiences in India and Africa including Kenya, and the success story of startups such as Novastar and BASIGO which have drawn considerable Japanese investments are new additions to Kenya's attractive business environment.

Among the host Partners were from Novastar Ventures, British International Investment (BII), BasiGo and Blume Ventures.

Some of the participating companies included: SMBC, Toyota Tsusho Corporation, Mitsubishi Corporation, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), MOL PLUS Company Limited, SBI Investment, Yamaha, Mitsui O.S.K Line Ltd among others. Also in attendance were Ms. Jennifer Njuguna, First Counsellor and Ms. Naoko Yagi, Trade Assistant from the Embassy.
