AMB. MOI LEMOSHIRA ATTENDS GRADUATION CEREMONY OF KENYAN TRAINEES AT KAIHO INDUSTRY IN KANAZAWA, ISHIKAWA PREFECTURE

Amb. Moi Lemoshira visited Kanazawa city, Ishikawa Prefecture from 21st to 22nd November 2024 to attend the graduation ceremony for two Kenyan instructors who undertook Management Programme of End-of-Life (ELV) at Kaiho Industry Co., Ltd. UNIDO ITPO TOKYO invited instructors from Nairobi Technical Training Institute (NTTI) to implement the four weeks training for “Industrial Vocational Training Programme in Africa and Asia through Technology Transfer from Japan”.

The project aims to strengthen the capacity of local engineers and technicians in Kenya and deepen their knowledge and skills to apply and manage new technologies provided by the Japanese company.

Amb. Lemoshira conveyed appreciation to Mr. Hideki Murakami, ITPO Expert & Deputy Head from UNIDO and Mr. Takayuki Kondo, Kaiho Industry Co., Ltd. for implementing the programme extended to NTTI Kenyan instructors in the training at Kaiho Industry supported by UNIDO. The Ambassador also noted that training on recycling vehicles promotes the environmental protection and the circular economy.

During the visit to Kanazawa city, Amb. Moi Lemoshira paid a Courtesy call on Mr. Hiroyuki Shinbo, Deputy Mayor of Kanazawa city in his office. The Ambassador was accompanied by Ms. Nina Alai, Minister-Counsellor, and Ms. Naoko Yagi, Trade Assistant.
