Amb. Moi Lemoshira, MBS led Embassy team for an official visit to Nagoya, Capital City of Aichi Prefecture from 19th to 21st February 2025. The team comprised of Ms. Jennifer Njuguna, First Counsellor and Ms. Naoko Yagi, Trade Assistant. During the visit, the team called on Mr. Jun Karube, Honoray Consul of the Republic of Kenya in Chubu region, and Senior Executive Advisor of Toyota Tsusho Corporation. While the Honorary Consulate, Amb. Lemoshira thanked Mr. Karube for his dedication to serving Kenyans in the region and for promoting Kenya-Japan relations.
Amb. Lemoshira later held consultations with Mr. Ichiro Kashitani, President of Toyota Tsusho Corporation and other senior executives of company. While in Nagoya, the Ambassador visited Toyota Tsusho affiliate companies dealing with manufacturing of automobile parts including Kyowa Sangyo, Toyota Logistics Service and Toyota Steel Center. The team also visited Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology and Toyota Kaikan Museum to familiarize with the transformational success of Toyota as a global brand.
The Ambassador paid a courtesy call Hon. Hideaki Ohmura, Governor of Aichi Prefecture and Hon. Mr. Ichiro Hirosawa, Mayor of Nagoya city to promote awareness of Kenya-Japan relations and partnerships at the local government levels.
