KENYA ENTRY REQUIREMENTS IN THE WAKE OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC AS OF 16TH MARCH, 2020
Travel information
- On 15th March, 2020, the Government of Kenya suspended travel for all persons coming into Kenya from any country with reported Coronavirus cases.
- Following this directive, only Kenyan Citizens, and foreigners with valid residence permits will be allowed to enter the country.
- This directive will remain in effect for the next 30 days or as varied by the National Emergency Response Committee.
Screening information
- Kenya continues to enforce mandatory screening of travelers at all points of entry, including airports, ground crossings, and seaports.
- Screenings include thermo-scanning temperature measurement, visual assessment, and requirement to complete a traveler health declaration form listing recent travel to hotspot areas and current symptoms of illness.
Quarantine Information
- Kenyan Citizens, and foreigners with valid residence permits arriving from countries with reported covid-19 cases will be required to proceed on self-quarantine or to a government designated quarantine facility.
